The Hottest Hair Trends of 2018

Although the hottest hair tends of 2018 give a nod to the past, they are refreshingly current. Bangs, which have seen their popularity rise and fall over the course of a few decades, are back with a vengeance. Another big hair trend this year inspired by the past is natural texture. But, if bangs and letting your hair just be isn’t your cup of tea, don’t fear…there’s no shortage of trends.

Here are the hottest hair trends for 2018 :

Natural texture

If there ever was a time you could walk out the door without a perfect coif, that time is now. Natural texture was embraced on the catwalk this year and regardless of what your natural hair texture is, it’s a trend everyone can rock.

If you’ve got curls, let them air dry before running your fingers through them for a more relaxed look. Locks more on the straight side? Apply a smoothing serum like Oribe’s Smooth Style Serum to hair while damp. Air dry and go.

Bangs, bangs, and more bangs

Bangs are everywhere this year. Lucky for you, there’s a bang to suit any style -   fringe bangs, blunt bangs, wispy bangs, long bangs, and baby bangs to name a few. Catch this hot hair trend for 2018 on singer Camila Cabello and model Emily Ratajkowski.

To keep those bangs in place, give them a quick spritz of Oribe’s Superfine Hairspray.

Accessorized locks

The spring runways were filled with adorned hair and it doesn’t look like this trend is dying out any time soon. Keep the look classic with simple barrettes tucked behind the ear or go all out with a rhinestone studded hair part. Even the smallest hair accessory (think hair ribbon) will keep you on trend.

Big and bouncy

Although it’s questionable as to whether the 90’s blowout ever really “died,” it’s legendary status was solidified this year on the runway. Big and bouncy blowouts a la Cindy Crawford were a big hit with designers this year. Keep in mind: the blowouts of 2018 have more edge than the blowouts of yesteryear. Big blowouts featured texture and were perfectly imperfect.

Bobs

The bob, a popular trend for 2017 as well, is one of the most popular haircuts for 2018. And, just like bangs, there’s a bob to suit any style. Afraid to lose length? Try a longer bob like Margot Robbie’s lob. If you’re feeling adventurous, keep your bob blunt and just below the ear.
